The Deck at Regatta Point is a great spot to have a coffee and admire the beauty that is Canberra. It has great views and plenty of space, so you can fit half a dozen prams easily. There are also multiple high chairs (I saw at least four), and the staff are really friendly. The waitress who made Wyatt’s babycino actually asked me to check that it wasn’t too hot, she had added some cold milk but she didn’t want it to be too hot. It’s actually the first time anyone has asked me to check! Although I always check, and have had a couple of burnt pinkies!
While there isn’t a toddler play area in the cafe, next door is the National Capital Exhibition where there is Lego and Duplo always available, and outside there is a picnic area and playground…although I could hear and see a lot of bats in the trees nearby, so you won’t see me at the playground any time soon! I am terrified of bats, except maybe Giggle-Fangs.
Check out the listing on our Toddler Activity Page for “Little Griffins” run by the National Capital Exhibition.
